Remote Origin, Inc. is currently offering custom branded VoIP software telephones. In house development teams are currently providing softphones that interoperate with, specifically, Asterisk, the open source PBX and its VoIP protocol, the Inter-Asterisk Exchange (IAX).

We are proud to offer Remote Origin's Remote Extension. We believe our software is supierior to other software telephone for many different reasons.

Our software telephone is a full featured IAX2 based softphone solution. The software was initially created to aide the functionality, the ease of deployment and to open the unlimited potential for the developer, and hence, the end user.

Each registered copy is locked to a specific user's VoIP account. The customer never needs to know their own login information! This is due to the fact that, upon activation, the account informaiton is hard coded into the software itself. Each software build is specific to a unique user account. Because of this, the authentication process is seemless.

Protection mechanisms are built into the software to inhibit the ability to make copies. This is to protect you, as a registered partner, as well as us. Since the software is ideally distributed on USB drives, the software gets locked to that specific drive in a variety of ways. This renders the software useless without the drive, thusly limiting the ability to create unauthorized copies.

Notable calling features include signal to noise ratio adjustments, microphone and speaker level adjustments, incoming and outgoing calling, call transfers, text chatting, custom branding for your clients or your company, extended transport features that aide in availability and more.

Signal to noise ratio adjustments help maintain background noise during a phone call. For example, if this software was utilized in a call center, or to speak with someone in a call center, if the background chatter was so loud that it inhibited the ability to have a reasonable conversation, simply adjust the signal to noise ratio adjustment to a level where the lower decible noise is simply ignored by the software.

Text chatting can be used as TTY device, or simply for text chatting, during a phone call between two Remote Extension users.
